Trainings at Sodexo

Investing into our employees and training them at different job posts make us fully prepared for our further success, and differentiate us from our competitors. Based on time-honored experiences from Sodexo Group, Sodexo Greater China has developed a complete system of training courses.


      Sodexo Management Academy (SMA)

  • Sodexo Greater China created an entity of training – Sodexo Management Academy. Based on the Sodexo  Group operational and management experiences of more than 40 years all over the world and 10 years in China, Sodexo Management Academy has the mission to develop and deliver training programs to all the staff of Sodexo Greater China in order to create a good atmosphere of training, to stimulate continuous progress, to increase the skills of staff and the professional qualification of employees, and to realize the common development of our employees and the company.

  • Overseas trainings (Training Programs & Seminars by Sodexo Group Management Institute, visiting other countries  where Sodexo is present for experiences exchanges)

  • Trainings in China (Sodexo Greater China Management Academy)

      SMA trainers include:

  • Sodexo Instructors: every instructor owns very rich Operation management experiences and has strong expertise in relevant business activities of Sodexo Greater China. Therefore, they are good at helping the trainees understand the essence of training courses, guiding the trainees to combine what they learn at SMA with what they’ll do in their job, so as to ensure what's taught by SMA is well implemented or practiced in daily operation work.

  • Sodexo Senior mentors: who are in fact specially-invited senior managers of Sodexo Greater China. This allows the trainees to learn from senior managers’ management skills and experiences. It helps to improve the trainees’ management performances.

  • Externally-sourced training experts: if it's necessary for some training courses, and according to relevant requirements by training courses, SMA invites senior consultants from well-known consultant firms to teach, which further completes SMA's knowledge structure and training system.

 

2008 Indicator 
An ambitious training and development program

In 2005, Sodexo in China launched a Management Academy with the aim of strengthening local management and facilitating career progression. The team has now established its priorities and moved into the implementation phase.

-  A "Les INCONTOURNABLES" program is being introduced and  the "Clients", "Finance" and "Hygiene" modules have already been rolled out and attended by 650 trainees.

-  A communication and leadership program has been initiated to provide stronger managerial skills.
-  Logistics and fire safety training is provided to on-site personnel.

-  Chefs can express their talent and develop their expertise thanks to exchanges with specialist culinary training organizations.
