Sodexo Establish Trade Union

Sodexo (Shanghai) is affiliated to Sodexo Group in France. Sodexo entered into China market in 1995. It has been undergoing fast development, with dense coverage of operation sites and 13,000 employees in China at present.

At the beginning of last year, along with the development of Union Establishment work for Non-public-owned enterprises in Shanghai, on the principle of "invigorate large enterprises while promote middle and small ones", Sodexo was named as one key enterprise to establish a trade union and directly supervised Changning District Federation of Trade Unions (DFTU). The Changning DFTU specially appointed a trade union official to be responsible for coordinating the setup of trade union at Sodexo. The president office of DFTU has been discussed face-to-face with top executives of Sodexo for several times. The nature, functions and work principles of China Trade Union were delivered, which received high recognition and active response. The trade union preparation team was set up at the end of the year.

In 2008, under the guidance of DFTU, in accordance with the fact that company's wide geographical coverage and frequent staff movement, the trade union preparation team decided to deploy the preparatory work in stages, under the principle of "deploy site by site, implement stage by stage, and develop steadily".
