Shanghai, June 11, 2018 – Sodexo, the world leader in Quality of Life services, after being awarded the Communication & Enterprise Prix d'Honneur for its stand in 2017, presented at 2018 Viva Technology Show with its stand themed as “Digital day”.
Accompanied by 37 start-ups centered on working people’s daily life, including 2 China AI Technologies,it well illustrated the Group's commitment, founded on its customers' experiences and technology, to improve the quality of life of working people in a novel and inspiring way.
Four key moments of people's daily lives, in which Sodexo is committed to being their best ally, are threading through innovative events along the 3-day show: Work, Meals, Relaxing and Planning. Centering on these four key moments, 37 start-ups invited to the event showed visitors the projects they developed, all striving to improve daily lives and quality of life for working people.
The products or services include: urban agriculture, shared and collaborative workspace management, mini-sensors, retail AI solution, social robot, virtual restaurant, waste reduction solution, intelligent self-checkout system, smart building management, personalized wellness platform, etc.

Smart retail solution utilizes self-developed technologies: convolutional neural networks, biometric ID recognition and payment…allowing people to take and go, enjoying convenient unmanned shopping experience.

Self-checkout system is a smart visual checkout system based on AI technology, aiming to realize digital intelligent catering management.
At present, these two projects are being piloted in Sodexo China, with a view to pushing a broader market space and further accelerating Sodexo's digital transformation process in China.
