Shanghai, April 29, 2021 - Sodexo, the world leader in Quality of Life Services, announced that it has been awarded ISO55001 accreditation for its facilities management services in Huawei Euro Town Phase I. It marks the first accreditation in this field for Sodexo in its corporate services in China. In 2017 Sodexo earned this accreditation in its education services in China.

ISO55001 is issued in 2014 by International Organization for Standardization (ISO) as the world's common series of management system standards . With the aim to maximize organizational assets value, it determines organization's policy and strategic asset management planning by internal and external environment analyses, establishes asset management goals based on risk identification, balances the risk, cost, and performance for asset management decisions in its full life cycle and formulates & provides resources to implement asset management plans.

Sodexo and Huawei have started their business relationship since 2013. Now the collaboration has expanded to 14 countries across four continents. Since 2018, Sodexo started to provide a series of quality of life services, including cleaning services, security services, administrative support services, facilities management services, etc. to Huawei Euro town Phase I, covering an area of 890,000 square meters to guarantee a safe and comfortable workplace for its 20,000 employees.

 

Huawei Euro Town introduces Sodexo's expertise to carry out long-term maintenance on its complex systems such as electrical system and HVAC system. Based on the in-depth understanding of the field systems and analyses on the strategic objectives of the project, Sodexo deployed the industry's leading Asset Management Framework (AMF)with a total of 23 AMF asset management programs across the campus, covering the full life cycle management activities of the assets. By leveraging standardized tools and processes, it could maximize asset utilization, ensure a safe and sustainable operating environment, optimize the operation and capital costs for the full life cycle of equipment, and provide a safe, reliable, and controllable operating environment.
