March 20-21, 2023, Shanghai - Sodexo, the global leader in Quality of Life Services, participated in the 5th Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) China Day,
sharing insights with leaders of consumer goods enterprises and political and business professionals from all sectors to build consensus and facilitate implementation of solutions in response to the challenges and opportunities of such segments as food safety, health, sustainability and end-to-end value chain.
With the theme of "Leading the Age of Resilience for a Creative Future", the 5th Consumer Goods Forum - China Day invited leaders of consumer goods enterprises and professionals from various sectors to share their insights on the challenges and opportunities facing the industry, covering topics including sustainable business growth, carbon reduction, food safety, healthier consumer choices, etc., thus building consensus and facilitating implementation of solutions.
Martin Boden, Managing Director of Sodexo Greater China, was invited to participate in the CEO Roundtable of the CGF China Day, where industry leaders discussed the development and scale of the CGF Action Alliance in China to help consumer goods enterprises gain a holistic view of the industry. At the same time, the attendees learned more about the cutting-edge innovative solutions from each other to provide a platform for various segments to exchange advanced knowledge and lead the trend of thinking, aiming to bring a positive impact on quality development of the whole consumer goods industry.
Shen Lei, Director of Brand and Communications of Sodexo Greater China, was invited to participate in the "Healthy and Sustainable F&B" roundtable, discussing the future of healthy and sustainable F&B in China with attendees including Ding Yanhong, Global Associate Partner, Bain Capital, Xu Minqing, Director of Scientific and Regulatory Affairs, Mars -Wm Wrigley J, China; Lin Chunyan, Head of Sustainability, OATLY Greater China; Han Songyu, CEO of Keying E-Commerce; Cheng Hao, Senior Research Director, Ipsos China. Ms Shen also shared Sodexo’s best practices in promoting sustainability within the group dining sector, including WasteWatch, a food waste monitoring system, Sodexo's sustainable supply chain, and green plant-based meals, and thanks to these initiatives, it can effectively reduce food waste along the entire restaurant chain from farm to fork.
