The new Sodexo East China logistics warehouse is located in Songjiang District, Shanghai, covering an area of about 11,000 square meters, and will work together with Sodexo's national logistics center to build an optimized solution for Sodexo's digital and visualized intelligent logistics, create a new model of trunking network + cloud warehouse, so as to promote Sodexo's sustainable logistics development.

Franny Fan, Director of Supply Chain Management for Sodexo Greater China, said, "2023 will be a year of high quality and steady progress for Sodexo's supply chain. By building an intelligent logistics visualization system, we will create a new model of trunking network + cloud warehouse, develop green logistics. We strive to provide a wider range of services, increase the number of geographies and industries served or modes of transportation. In this way, we will provide flexible, efficient, trustworthy and fast services to offer customers quality life services, and rank top in the group logistics industry."

Create a logistics visualization system to optimize business processes

The new model of trunking network + cloud warehouse to enhance the efficiency of integrated supply chain

The cloud warehouse is used as a base for product storage and delivery, and the layout of the multi-level warehouse network will improve the warehouse management system and logistics capabilities. Sodexo's logistics team has created a new model of trunking network + cloud warehouse based on business features and its own characteristics. This service model breaks the original regional DC distribution restrictions and expands the business coverage from coastal areas to inland regions. Services will sink from first- and second-tier cities to third- and fourth-tier cities, especially for small, remote branches, which may enjoy the same logistics service as convenient as other branches.

Develop green logistics to promote Sodexo's sustainable development

Green logistics is an important part of promoting green and low-carbon development. Sodexo is committed to developing green logistics in terms of green transportation, green packaging, green supply chain management and green distribution and processing, pursuing not only the goal of economic benefits, but also the target of saving resources and protecting the environment, which has both economic and social outcomes. In this regard, Sodexo has launched a NEV replacement program with the goal of deep carbon reduction. At the NEV landing ceremony and new warehouse opening ceremony, Sodexo announced that it will cooperate with Shanghai Jiaorong to introduce NEVs to jointly reduce carbon emissions and make sustainable development of Sodexo Logistics a reality, becoming the new green logistics benchmark in the industry.

Grace Han, Director of Government and Regulatory Affairs for Sodexo Greater China, said, "As a multinational company with a global reach, Sodexo's business is centered on localization. This partnership between Sodexo and Shanghai Jiaorong is not only to build a more diversified, inclusive supply chain system to help local communities grow, but also to adopt smarter, sustainable supply chain practices to promote green development with more partners committed to reducing carbon emissions, further demonstrating our competitive power."
