Beijing, November 25, 2024 - A global leader in sustainable food and valued experiences, Sodexo China, recently attended the Global Multinational Corporations Summit • The 14th International Roundtable of Multinational Corporations’ Leaders. The summit brought together nearly 500 multinational corporations from China and abroad to discuss emerging opportunities and challenges of investment cooperation.
The “Global Multinational Corporations Summit • The 14th International Roundtable of Multinational Corporations’ Leaders ”, co-hosted by the China International Council for the Promotion of Multinational Corporations, the China Center for International Economic Exchanges, the United Nations Development Programme, UN Conference on Trade and Development, United Nations Environment Programme, United Nations Industrial Development Organization, United Nations Global Compact, and the UN-mandated University for Peace, with assistance from All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, was successfully held in Beijing.
The summit, themed “AN OPEN CHINA AND THE WORLD”, focused on “facilitating improvements in the investment environment, promoting multinational corporations’ investments, and strengthening corporate social responsibility”. Mr. Ban Ki-moon, the 8th UN Secretary-General and Chairman of the Boao Forum for Asia, sent a congratulatory letter celebrating the successful hosting of the summit. The summit was attended by leaders from various national ministries and commissions of China, including the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the China International Development Cooperation Agency, the National Health Commission, the National Healthcare Security Administration, the National Medical Products Administration, and the National Energy Administration. Leaders from several provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions, and other relevant departments also participated.
As a key parallel forum of the summit, the “2024 Healthcare Reform and Life Health Forum” invited prominent guests, including leaders from the National Healthcare Security Administration, the National Health Commission, and the National Medical Products Administration, along with experts and executives from multinational corporations. This forum featured in-depth discussions on topics such as “Focusing on New Quality Productive Forces in Healthcare to Promote High-Quality Development in the Industry”, aiming to foster dialogue and build consensus to advance global cooperation. Ms. Isabelle HANNEDOUCHE, Managing Director of Sodexo Greater China, delivered a keynote speech titled “Exceptional Service to Support Healthcare Industry in China ” at the forum.
